Tomohopper Ball Mower

I recently bought a ball machine and I would find myself only hitting a couple cycles with it because I got sick of spending a huge chunk of time picking the balls up with a hopper. I bought this on a whim mainly because it was portable and I could leave it in my trunk at all times along with my ball machine. Not gonna lie, it was one of my best purchases. It break down and is compact (for what it is), it never jams and picks up ball better than a traditional mower you would use at a club. I also can set my ball machine on top of it and roll everything to the court at once which is a bonus. The way it picks up ball is unique as it traps balls between its frame and wheel and rolls the balls up a shoot as you are rolling over them. The only down fall is that does not hold nearly as much as a traditional mower. It holds probably 100 balls or so. I've limited my ball machine to that quantity as I do not want to purchase an extra basket to carry around nor do I want to carry out extra balls as I just leave the balls in the basket in the machine. All in all, it was an excellent buy...a little expensive for what it is (lets face it, all mowers are overpriced), but well worth the time I save hitting more and not picking up balls.

With the advent of COVID-19 and its public health safety precautions, it became necessary for me to play tennis all by myself with a launcher machine. However, picking the balls with a telescope tube, and or the hooper became almost counter-productive for my training. Purchasing this ball mower improved the dynamics of my playing time significantly. It picks the balls almost effortlessly and it is relatively easy to assemble and dis-assemble. I also like the fact that it is mostly made of plastic, hence very unlikely to rust even when exposed to moisture. It is a little bulky ( but not heavy), hence occupies an appreciable vehicular space, but compared to its efficiency, I do not mind that at all. Overall, it is an excellent buy for me.

I have more than a years experience in using these with only good results to report. It picks up balls well, is light and durable. It's pricey but demonstrates its value on the court. Perfect should not be the enemy of good here. This is a good, well designed tool that will give years of good service.
