The TCS Cushion System incorporates multiple layers of specially formulated acrylic coatings fortified with graded rubber particles. These cushion layers are installed after the TCS Court Resurfacer With Sand and before the final acrylic color coatings, creating a softer, more comfortable playing surface.

The complete cushion system uses 3 layers of TCS Cushion Base Coat followed by 2 layers of TCS Cushion Top Coat. The combination provides progressive cushioning beneath the finished playing surface while having little effect on pickleball bounce and play.

TCS Cushion System Application

For best results, a standard TCS Cushioned Pickleball Court System consists of:

1. 1 coat TCS Court Resurfacer With Sand – Provides the initial filler and texture coat and creates a smooth, dense underlayment.
2. 3 coats TCS Cushion Base Coat – Contains coarse graded rubber particles that build the primary cushion layers and provide shock absorption.
3. 2 coats TCS Cushion Top Coat – Contains finer graded rubber particles to refine and smooth the cushioned surface.
4. 2 coats TCS Court Color – Provides the final textured, durable playing surface in the selected court color.
5. Playing lines – Complete the court with the appropriate TCS Line Primer and TCS Textured White Line Paint.

TCS Cushion Base Coat

The TCS Cushion Base Coat is a 100% acrylic emulsion containing coarse rubber particles. Three layers are applied to build the primary resilient cushion beneath the finished pickleball court surface.

These base layers provide the majority of the system's cushioning and shock-absorbing properties.

TCS Cushion Top Coat

After the Cushion Base Coat layers have been installed, 2 coats of TCS Cushion Top Coat are applied.

The Top Coat contains finer rubber particles that create a smoother transition between the coarse cushion base and the final acrylic color coatings while maintaining the resilient characteristics of the system.
