Important Fence Post Requirements

The 10' x 12' Rally Master Backboard mounts to two 10-foot-tall round fence posts.

Rally Master Backboards can only be mounted to:

• 2-1/2" round fence posts
• 3" round fence posts
• 4" round fence posts

Posts must be suitable for either the Direct Connect or Off-Set mounting system.

Direct Connect Mounting

The Direct Connect Rally Master Backboard attaches directly to the existing round fence posts. This installation method is designed for fences with posts that are straight, plumb, and properly aligned or for newly installed independent posts.

If either of the two mounting posts is bent, wind-damaged, out of plumb, or improperly aligned, the panels may be difficult or impossible to align correctly using Direct Connect hardware.

If either fence post is bent or out of plumb, select the Off-Set mounting option.

Off-Set Mounting

The Off-Set Rally Master Backboard is designed for installations where existing fence posts are slightly out of plumb.

The Off-Set hardware kit includes support columns and adjustable brackets that allow the installer to compensate for minor post alignment problems and properly position the backboard panels.

Vertical Tennis Backboard

The Vertical Rally Master Backboard is the most traditional and widely used configuration. It provides a consistent rebound for practicing groundstrokes, volleys, serves, and repetitive stroke development while delivering an excellent aerobic workout.

Another advantage is its compact footprint. A vertical Rally Master Backboard extends only approximately 4–6 inches inside the court fence, helping preserve valuable playing space.

8° Back-Sloped Tennis Backboard

The 8-degree Back-Sloped Rally Master Backboard produces a slightly lofted ball return that lands farther away from the practice wall than the flatter, shorter rebound of a vertical backboard.

This gives players additional preparation time and naturally positions them farther away from the backboard. The moderate 8-degree angle also maintains a practical rebound for close-range volley drills and advanced training.

The 8° back-sloped design extends approximately 21 inches inside the fence, providing a balanced combination of lofted ball return and efficient use of court space.

Reduced Rebound Noise

Rally Master's patent-pending vibration dampeners and mounting system substantially reduce impact noise. The system is engineered to provide quiet rebound performance, making Rally Master an excellent tennis backboard for residential courts, clubs, schools, and facilities where excessive practice-wall noise may be a concern.

Durable, Vandal-Resistant Panels

Rally Master panels are manufactured from solid-core, dense plastic with the color molded directly into the material. The combination of density, strength, and flexibility creates an exceptionally durable tennis practice wall capable of handling demanding recreational and institutional use.

Backboard Sizing

Rally Master Backboards are manufactured using 10' H x 4' W panels. The 10' x 12' Tennis Backboard is the minimum available size and consists of three 4-foot-wide panels.

Longer Rally Master Backboards are available with no maximum length, provided the total width is divisible by four feet.
