Description: PicklePlay is a recreational coating, designed for Pickleball Courts. The PicklePlay RTU Two Color Kit contains the correct amount of materials for 1-coat of Concrete Primer/Bonder, 1-coat of Resurfacer w/Sand, 2-coats of PicklePlay RTU, 1-coat of Line Primer, and 1-Coat of Line paint. Please Note, 2 gallons of water needs to be added to a 5-gallon container of Resurfacer w/Sand.
The entire 30' x 60' concrete surface will have the Concrete Primer Bonder applied with a short napped paint roller. (This is not needed for an asphalt surface.) Followed by the resurfacer w/Sand being applied with the squeegee. Note: add 2 gallons of water to every 5 gallons of resurfacer. The inside area will be coated with two coats of PicklePlay, with squeegee. The outside area will be coated with two coats of PicklePlay, also applied with the squeegee. 1 coat of Line Primer and Line Paint. PicklePlay contains silica sand for traction and non-slip play. It is ready to be used, simply mix thoroughly and apply.
Surface Preparation: Pavement surface must be cleaned entirely of dust, dirt and debris. Repair of pavement surface defects, depressions, and cracks should be complete prior to application. All repairs must be flush and smooth to adjoining surfaces for best results. New asphalt must cure 30 days and new concrete must cure 28 days prior to applications. It is recommended that any uncoated/bare surface receive one or more coats of TCS Court Resurfacer as required by surface roughness and porosity to provide a smooth, dense underlayment for application of color coatings. Concrete surfaces should have a medium broom finish or similar roughened texture.
Mixing Procedures: Add 2-gallons of water to every 5-gallon container of Resurfacer w/Sand. PicklePlay is ready to use; DO NOT ADD WATER. Simply mix materials to a smooth uniform consistency with a hand-held
drill and mixing paddle.
Application: Apply with a soft rubber squeegee. A minimum of two coats of PicklePlay are recommended for desired color, hiding, and durability.
Important: Stir material thoroughly before using. Temperatures must be a minimum of 50°F and rising both during application and for a period of
at least 24 hours after applications. Do not apply when rain is imminent in the forecast. Keep from freezing. Close container when not in use.
Coverage: Yield calculations are figured per gallon of PicklePlay and vary according to surface texture and porosity within the limits below: .12 to .15 per square yard per coat or 60 to 75 square foot, per gallon.
Drying Time: PicklePlay dries in 1-2 hours under optimum drying conditions. Low ambient or low surface temperature, shade, and high
humidity increase drying time.
Clean Up: Wash tools in water before material dries.
VOC: This material contains less than 150 grams of volatile organic compounds per liter.
Caution: KEEP FROM FREEZING. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
Do not take internally. If swallowed, call a physician immediately. In case of contact with eyes, flush immediately with water for 15 minutes and call
a physician. Do not apply when rain is imminent. When not in use, keep container tightly closed and upright to prevent leakage. Do not store in
direct sunlight or above 100°F. In case of spillage, absorb and dispose of in accordance with Federal, State and Local regulations.
